Independent Accountant

Air Bohemia s.r.o., a private Czech air carrier with a long-standing tradition, is expanding its team and seeking a new colleague for the position of Independent Accountant.

We are looking for an experienced and reliable individual to independently manage accounting operations and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of accounting records in compliance with Czech accounting and tax regulations and company internal policies.

What to expect:

• independent management of company accounting in accordance with Czech accounting and tax regulations
• processing of issued and received invoices, bank statements, and internal documents
• preparation of VAT returns and VAT control statements
• asset records management, including depreciation calculations and accounting entries
• conducting annual inventory checks
• active cooperation during annual financial statement preparation and audits
• verification of the completeness and accuracy of costs and revenues for the relevant accounting period

What we expect from you:

• secondary education with a school-leaving exam (maturita) in an economics-related field
• at least 3 years of experience in a similar position
• knowledge of Czech accounting and tax regulations
• communicative level of English
• active knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel
• an independent and proactive approach to accounting and tax matters
• willingness to pursue further professional development and education
• a systematic and meticulous nature with a high level of responsibility
• ability to work independently and resilience to stress
